Professional BellyDance Costume
A professional bellydance costume involves costumes representing all of the different bellydance styles, which is basically a traditional Arab dance genre. Sometimes it is also known as ‘Middle Eastern Dance’. Today, bellydancing has many forms known all over the world like American tribal belly dance and many other regional belly dances, but the original concept of belly dance has originated from Arab lands and it divides the belly dancing into two forms, one is Raqs baladi and other is Raqs sharqi.
The origin of bellydancing is not very accurately known but some people say it originated from Babylon. And the professional bellydance costume is popularly known as ‘bedleh’ and it owns its creation to Victorian painters of ‘Orientalism’. Let us peek into the exact pattern of the costume.
The costume includes a tight fitted top bra, a fitted belt and a skirt of harem pants. The tight fitted bra might be designed with a fringe of beads or coins and the belt would be tied in the hip portion and they might also be decorated with coins, sequins, braid and embroidery, too. The main look of belt is that it is worn down from the lower hip portion. The bra and belt might be in matching color, but that should not be like lingerie.
The harem pants are the main attraction of the professional bellydance costume as they make anyone feel that the dance is of Arabic origin. These harem or Arabic pants are fully gathered at the ankle level, but modifications can be done for a more designer look. They have the exemption of showing their abdomen and then performing in front of the audiences. There are many Turkish dancers who use veils as one of the bellydancer costume accessories. Veils should be of the same color as your costume. Other accessories like high heels are also preferred although the Egyptian bellydancer prefers to dance barefoot, but these days many professional dancers prefer heels while performing the dance.
If you want to purchase a professional bellydance costume then you must try it from some of the online shops like Buy Costumes because they carry a selection of the traditional costumes along with some designer look. American performers also prefer to buy the outfit online and they also suggest you get all of the accessories along with the costume. So, getting the costume from online bellydance stores makes sense and makes it comfortable for you to do all of your shopping under one roof.
